Our Beekeeping Home Page
Sometimes, the old ways are the best. We abide by our Ozark Mountain traditions. Beekeeping has been practiced for generations in these mountains, from robbing bee trees, to keeping gum log hives, to modern langstroth hives. From a dishpan full of fresh, honey-filled comb in Grandma's kitchen, to an extractor full of golden frames heavy with their contents.
We are gearing up for the 2018 season. We'll have basic supplies at the home yard. And, you can order your 2018 Nucs on this site, or get in touch with Mark by phone, email or text. Numbers are limited, you should get your orders in early. We sold out last year, and expect to again. Some of the Nucs should start reaching full strength around mid-May, and then more reaching strength through May into June. They will be distributed on a first-ordered-first-served basis. And remember, if you'll bring me your equipment ahead of time, I'll install your bees directly into your equipment and let you know when they are ready. I'll also have some new hives for sale.
